GERALDINES GFC CLUB NOTES

MONDAY 20 JUNE 2022

The Senior Men faced St. Pats on Saturday evening in Division 1, and would suffer a 2 point defeat, losing by 0-13 to 1-08. Next up Ardee St. Marys come to McGeough Park on Friday evening, throw in @ 8.00 pm.  Our Junior Men had their first win of the season with a 1 point win away to the Clans, final score 2-14 to 2-13. There are no Junior fixtures this week.  

The Senior Ladies recorded a home win over the Blues on Sunday morning, winning a tough encounter by 2-13 to 3-05. The Ladies have a home match against the Brides on Sunday morning in Round 3 of Division 1, throw in @ 11 am. The Sunday League Competition resumes on Sunday with a home match against the Dundalk Gaels, throw in 11.30 am.

Congrats to all Gers players who represented their County over the weekend. All in the club are very proud of you.

There is lots of activity within our juvenile section, with many competitions getting down to the knockout stages, so make sure to check out our social media pages for details of training and matches. You can keep up to date with all club activity on our social media platforms and on Clubzap. 

The Gers are running their ‘Wear in the World’ summer jersey photo competition. If you are away on holidays, at an event or happen to meet someone famous, make sure to have your Gers colours on and to send us in a photo. The club wish Haggardstown Little Library the best of luck with their new venture. Located in the car park of the Geraldines, they offer a book exchange service for both children and adults. Please follow them on Facebook and Instagram.
