Gers U14 Girls Welcome Donaghmoyne GFC

On Saturday morning our U14 girls welcomed their counterparts from Monaghan in an entertaining fare. 32 players togged out for the Gers and the game was played in good spirits throughout. Our D1 team played the first 35 minutes and played well to open up a good lead. The D4 team then took to field for the second half. They held their own and performed well too. They were unlucky to concede some soft goals, but at the same time scored some lovely points.

We thank Donaghmoyne for travelling to the Gers. It is great to test yourself against teams outside the county. As ever the girls conducted themselves with grace and dignity, and they can proud of how they played.

Thanks to the parents who helped to provide tea and coffee and biscuits after the game. The rice crispie buns were delish😃
