The u12 boys continued their u13 Division 3 league with an away match versus Dundalk Young Irelands on Monday night.
There was a total of 21 players on the night with each getting lots of game time.
Playing against the wind the boys started the match slowly conceding early scores. They finished the half stronger and worked some great scores. Goals coming from Tim and Simon. They would go in at half time 2-5 to 2-4 up.
The second half was very exciting with both teams swapping early scores. DYI took the lead with two goals but could have been more except for some good defending in particular from Conor and Ryan which kept the boys in the match.
A goal from Cormac and a fisted goal from Ryan saw the boys take the lead going into the last two minutes. Unfortunately they conceded a late point which drew the game on a final score of 4-9 to 4-9. A great effort by the boys on the night.
Thanks to Dundalk Young Ireland for a very sporting encounter.
The boys are back out on Thursday night with a home match in the U12 Division versus Glyde Rangers at 7pm.
Great Effort
