The u13 lads continued their league campaign with a trip to Drogheda to play Wolfe Tones.
The match was an entertaining one on a fine evening on the South-side.
The first half was evenly contested, with the home side getting off to a good start and scored 3-2 without reply. The Gers responded with 3 goals in succession, including a screamer from Ross Norton and an opportunistic finish from Cillian McKevitt before the home side registered 2 more points to go into the break 4 points ahead.
The 3rd quarter was a tight affair and the Gers got off to a good start with a goal from Joe Lynch to keep the Gers in touch as the sides traded points in an end to end battle.
The Haggardstown lads finished strongly with 4 goals and 4 points, including 2 goals from Roan Carroll and 2 from the ever impressive Sean Spaight (who finished on 3-3), to earn a deserved result.
