GERALDINES GFC CLUB NOTES MONDAY 5 OCTOBER 2020

Our Junior Ladies secured the B Championship on Tuesday night with a great win against Cooley. Final score was 5-11 to 1-09 and congratulations to all involved.

The Senior Ladies had a hard fought victory over the Fechins on Wednesday evening in the League semi final. They would progress on a score of 2-11 to 0-10 and the double remains very much on.

They will pay the Mochtas on Saturday morning @ 11 am in the final. Well done to all involved and the very best of luck in the final.

On Saturday evening the Senior men resumed league action with a match against the Dreadnots. Despite missing some players, the Gers ran out victors in a hard hitting affair on a score line of 1-12 to 0-10. Next up is an away match against the Pats on Sunday afternoon, throw in @ 1 pm.

Our Junior side recorded a victory over the Brides on Tuesday evening, winning by 1-11 to 0-10. They are in action away to the Pats on Tuesday, throw in @ 7.30 pm.

In the juvenile section the U16 girls had a great victory against the Martins in the A Championship Semi Final on Saturday morning. The match was a great advert for ladies football with the Gers winning by 2-10 to 1-09. They will contest the Championship final against Cooley, details TBC. Well done to all involved and the best of luck in the final.

There is still football being played within our juvenile section and you can get all up to date information about upcoming fixtures and results on our social media platforms. We would encourage all parents and supporters to sign up to a new App called ClubZap which contains details of all club news including fixtures.

Our Lotto currently stands at €16,800; please check our social media for more details of the revised ways in which you can take part. We thank everyone who supports our club lotto; funds raised are essential to the running of our facilities for the entire parish to enjoy. Remember that you’ve got to be in it to win it!
