Geraldines 5-13 DYI 0-16
Gers Div 5 team moved within a point of a place in the final with a good win against the Young Irelands tonight. Playing with the wind in the first half the lads built up a commanding halftime lead 3-9 to 0-6. DYI fought back to narrow the deficit to 5 but a few late goals clinched the victory.
There were quite a few pleasing aspects to the performance. Finn Madine made his adult debut, Ryan Brennan played his first game as a daddy and Shayne Soraghan returned after a few hard years with injuries. Congrats to all. Even more pleasing was the fact that we had ten scorers.
